My Decision

I have decided to choose outfit A. Firstly, it is formal enough for the function, and the pale pink colour of the dress ensures that I do not look too pale. The accessories and general look of the outfit make it suitable for the occasion. Even though outfit E was also a good choice, it surpassed the budget while outfit A kept within the $100.

The accessories chosen fit the colour scheme of the dress, and thus are appropriate.

Reflection

Challenges

Choosing appropriate outfits under the budget proved to be challenging, and finding the suitable accessories and shoes was difficult too. However, with a little more effort, these problems were overcome.

Lesson Learnt

Shopping can be a fun experience if with an objective in mind. “Smart” shopping by choosing suitable, long-lasting clothing is a useful skill too.

Areas for Improvement

I think I have done most of the areas well, but perhaps if I had gotten some comments or advice from friends, the project could have been better in some ways.

The final outfit is a checked blue and white dress. It is extremely light-weight and comfortable as it is made from cotton. The dress is generally straight.

This ivory dress is very elegant and flares out slightly. The innermost area is made of silk and thus is not as comfortable as cotton.

This outfit is similarly matched as the one above, but with a different style and colour. The brown is more subdued and the design is simpler.

In this outfit I paired a red blouse with an embroidered and layered white dress. It is also very comfortable as the material is cotton. The blouse is body-hugging while the dress flares out a little.

This pale pink dress is made of comfortable cotton. It has some simple embroidery at the side and front but is otherwise plain. The dress can be drawn tighter under the bust area, but is otherwise straight.
